San Vicente beats SIS 5-1 in Interscholastic Soccer League opener


SAN Vicente Elementary School outplayed Saipan International School, 5-1, in one of the opening games of the NMIFA-PSS Interscholastic Soccer League’s elementary division Monday last week at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

SVES scored five of their goals during the first half of the game. As soon as the ball dropped, the team went for the kill with Jude Rayphand leading the charge.

SIS fought back but failed to score. As soon as SVES regained momentum, they resumed their onslaught with Dominic Canete-Ealy scoring at the 18th minute mark followed by Rayphand’s third goal. Canete-Ealy chipped in one more goal to put SVES ahead by halftime, 5-0.


GTC vs OES

Also tasting victory in their debut game was Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School which defeated Oleai Elementary School, 7-3.


GTC was carried by their scoring duo, Brandon Teigita and Jayvin Deleon Guerrero.

It was Tegita who sparked his team’s offensive with four consecutive goals from the 5th to the 12th minute marks while Deleon Guerrero scored three goals.

GES 1 vs SCS

For its part, Garapan Elementary School 1 joined the winner’s circle with a dominant victory over Saipan Community School, 16-0.
