MP United Pink and Blue crush foes in U13 boys


MP United Football Club’s Pink and Blue U13 boys teams both crushed their foes in Week 3 of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Fall 2022 last Oct. 8 at the Northern Mariana Islands Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

MP United Pink won over TanHoldings FC, 6-2 to even its record at 1-1, while MP United Blue blanked Matansa FC, 2-0, to remain unbeaten at 2-0. In the U13 boys standings, the Pink team is third behind the Blue team with Kanoa FC in the lead.


MP United Pink 6, TanHoldings 2 Eleven minutes had already ticked by when the first shot resounded from a kick made by Leonard Delemarle of MPU. TanHoldings tried to retaliate but couldn’t find their footing until another shot was made by MPU’s Moshe Sikkel 22 minutes in for a lead of 2-0.

Taiga Namai-Scoggins made a run for a hat-trick as he scored his first goal at the end of the first half and continued his conquest 34 minutes into the second half. He completed his third goal four minutes later. At this point, the score was now 5-2 as TanHoldings’ Julio Monserrat managed to score their only two goals.

The final goal for the game was made by Sikkel in the 41st minute for a final score of 6-2.


MP United Blue 2, Matansa 0 The game’s only two goals were made by Stephen Yeom—one in the first half’s 18th minute, and the other in the second half’s 40th minute.


U13 GIRLS Kanoa FC Team-1 5, TanHoldings FC Team-2 2 Kanoa FC Team 1 defeated TanHoldings FC Team 2.

Kanoa’s Aubrey White and Elikristiana Iglesias scored two goals each, while Faith Arriola and Beatrice scored one each.

TanHoldings came up short as only Elyza Brillo scored the team’s two goals.


Southern United FC Team-1 11, Kanoa FC Team-2 1 The lone score for Kanoa FC Team 1 was made by Cali Jade Cabrera in the second half. While on the opposite end, Southern United kept the goals coming with seven made in the first half and four made in the second half.

Rosie Jean Saralu was the leading scorer with six goals, while Brianne Echalico had three and Selena Atalig made a couple.


Matansa FC 7, Southern United FC Team-2 0 The Matansa girls quieted Southern United FC Team 2.

Four of the goals were scored by Alyssa Borlongan, while the three goals were made by Hailey Benavente.


TanHoldings FC Team-1 2, MPU FC 1 It was a quiet match as TanHoldings FC Team managed to hold off MPU FC, 2-1, with all goals scored in the second half of the game.
