The first blood was drawn by Southern United’s Summer Manahane in the fourth minute of the game, which ignited the momentum for the girls. Just seven minutes later, teammate Tamia Kileleman-Hix found the back of the net and was still hungry so she ate up another goal four minutes later.

By this time, Kanoa FC have yet to score as they trudged on through the field, unable to gain traction. Then, on the eighteenth minute, Kaithlyn Chavez found her footing and scored the first goal for her team, for a game of 3-1, with Southern United in the lead Right after, however, Southern United’s Rizza Relucio scored another goal for a lead of 4-1. It was quiet on both sides of the field as the girls duked it out on the field, with neither side able to score. In the 27th minute, Beatrice Gross of Kanoa broke the silence as she scored for Kanoa to edge closer to Southern United, 4-2.

Southern United could only watch as Kanoa closed the gap to one point when Sophia Quintos put up a goal for a close 4-3 game. Despite that, Pia Newakl was not going to give away their team’s lead as she put up the fifth goal of the game in the 39th minute—which was enough to secure the win when Kanoa was only able to put up one more goal for a final score of 5-4.
