GES 2 beats MCS 2 in interscholastic soccer
GARAPAN Elementary School 2 defeated Mount Carmel School 2, 6-3, in the NMIFA-PSS Interscholastic Soccer League Monday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
GES 2 was the first to draw blood with Tyree finding the back of the net at the 5th minute mark. However, just a few seconds later, MCS 2 equalized.
GES 2 then scored two goals, one after the other, but MCS 2 again quickly tied the game, 3-3.
GES 2 then managed to shut down MCS 2’s offense while adding one more goal before halftime to regain control, 4-3.
In the second half of the game, GES 2’s Tyree scored two more goals while keeping their opponents silent to secure the win, 6-3.
In other matches
Grace Christian Academy dominated MCS 1, 8-0.
GCA’s Princess Sanol and Pedro Taitano ignited the run with two goals each while teammate Sarang Lee took over the rest of the action with four goals.
Koblerville Elementary School 1 also joined the winner’s circle after taking down William S. Reyes Elementary School 1, 3-1.
Napu Pangelinan scored all three goals for KoES 1 while Landin Reyes contributed the solo shot for WSR 1.
