Koblerville Elementary School 1 and 2 split their games in the 2022-2023 NMIFA-PSS Interscholastic Soccer League last Wednesday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville. FMS beats Hopwood 2 in MS soccer opener
Francisco M. Sablan Middle School made mincemeat of Hopwood Middle School 2, 13-1, on Day 2 of the 2022-2023 NMIFA-PSS Interscholastic Soccer League last Tuesday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville. Within the first eight minutes of the game, De’Anthony Aldan of FMS scored three goals, carrying the team to a 3-0 lead. NMI loses first two games in U20 Asian Cup Qualifiers
THE NMI U20 Men’s National Team is off to a rough start in the AFC U20 Asian Cup Qualifiers in Amman, Jordan, losing to Turkmenistan and Syria on Saturday and Monday.
Against Turkmenistan, the NMI lost 0-7.
The NMI had a tough time finding a clear shot while Turkmenistan broke through the NMI’s line of defense, scoring four goals in the first half.

‘National team has grown a lot’
The NMI U20 Men’s National Soccer Team that is competing in the Asian Football Confederation U20 Asian Cup Qualifiers in Amman, Jordan has lost two games, but coach Michiteru Mita said the team “has grown a lot by making use of the experience from past competitions.” Their first game was against Turkmenistan, which they lost, 0-7, and their second game was against Syria, which they lost 0-10. NMIFA holds send-off ceremony for NMI U20 team
The NMI U20 Men’s National Soccer Team was sent off with good luck and well wishes last Friday at the Koblerville Soccer Field for their trip to the Middle East in Amman, Jordan. The team will compete in the Asian Football Confederation U20 Asian Cup Qualifiers from Sept. 10, 2022 to Sept. 18, 2022. The team will fly out this Wednesday, Sept. 7. There are 10 groups in the qualifiers and the top finisher in each group and five best runners-up will advance to the AFC Asian Cup
