Tan Holdings, Kanoa U16 boys run opponents ragged
Tan Holdings Football Club and Kanoa Football Club ran their opponents, Matansa Football Club and Shirley’s Football Club ragged, to the ground with Tan Holdings defeating Matansa, 3-0, and Kanoa defeating Shirley’s, 9-0, in Week 7 of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Fall 2022 last Nov. 5 at the Northern Mariana Islands Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
Tan Holdings’ Isiah Hossain found the back of the net early on in the fourth minute, while Matansa was still looking for their footing.
Just eight minutes later, Hossain’s cleats made contact with the ball once again to bring Tan Holdings up, 2-0. Teammate Mark Ryan Costales scored the third goal in the second half for Tan Holdings’ fifth win. Matansa has won only one game so far in the season.
Likewise, Kanoa held a stop sign in front of Shirley’s and handed them their sixth loss. Five Kanoa players took turns at the goal post and secured fourth win for the team.
U16 GIRLS Shirley’s FC 7, Paire 2 In the U16 girl’s division, Shirley’s Football Club defeated Paire Football Club, 7-2. Hailey Benavente already completed the hat-trick for Shirley’s while Paire scored just one goal so far. Benavente’s teammates added the rest of the goals before the end of the first half, with Paire scoring their last goal in the 54th minute and succumbing to a wide lead loss from Shirley’s.
Shirley’s earned their third win and handed Paire their sixth loss.
Kanoa FC 1, Southern United FC 0 KanoA Football Club was handed its fourth win with a last minute second half goal which was enough to beat Southern United Football Club, 1-0.
Southern United was handed their first loss of the season.
