Updated: Nov 26, 2021

TANHOLDINGS and Southern United football clubs remain the teams to beat in the U15 girls division of the Youth League Fall Tournament after outscoring their opponents Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center. TanHoldings are currently at the top of the food chain as they collected their fourth win with an emphatic 7-1 victory over the Kanoa Football Club. In football, the winner is not always the team that starts it, but the team that finishes it, and that sums up the match between TanHoldings and Kanoa. Kanoa ignited quickly with Kaleen Leemarvin finding the back of the net just two minutes into the game. THFC then turned the tables with strong defense followed by an onslaught led by Rizza Relucio, who scored twice, and Julie-Ann Capayas to give their team the lead, 3-1. Kanoa did their best to disrupt THFC’s rhythm but TanHoldings simply unleashed another offensive barrage that resulted in four more goals. THFC’s Julie Chavez joined the score board with her first goal of the day while Tamia Hix took over by scoring three consecutive goals at the 43rd, 45th and 49th minute marks to complete the hat-trick and hand her team the win, 7-1. Southern United vs Paire Against Paire Football Club, Southern United FC was merciless. As soon as the ball dropped, SUFC established control with Pia Newakl scoring in the first minute followed by Summer Manahane who delivered two goals. Newakl then contributed three more as SUFC established a commanding 6-0 lead by the end of the first half. In the second half, SUFC notched five more goals with Vaniqa Torres, and Rosie Saralu each providing a goal while Newakl and Manahane contributing three more points to bury Paire with an 11-0 spread. At the 50th minute mark, Justidy Mizutani provided Paire with their one and only goal as they went down in defeat, 1-11. MP United vs Shirley's MP United FC earned the final win of the day after steamrollering Shirley's FC 9-0. Eight of MPU’s nine points were made in the opening half by sisters Aubrey and Audrey Castro who scored four goals each. At the 44th minute of the second half, Aubrey Castro scored her fifth goal as MPU cruised to an easy 9-0 victory.
