Tan Holdings earns 4th victory in soccer tourney
TAN Holdings Football Club continues to stand tall in the Premier Division of the Dove Women's League Fall 2021 after collecting their fourth win of the season by outplaying Shirley's Football Club 8-3.
THFC’s teamwork was their key to victory as they created several options to score. At the very first minute of the game, THFC’s Jannah Casarino found the back of the net. Ten minutes later, team mate Kaithlyn Chavez contributed the second goal of the day to give THFC a 2-0 lead.
Shirley's finally found their footing near the 20-minute mark with Jasmine Phan breaking the silence. However, they then left their defense wide open, allowing THFC to squeeze in two more goals.
THFC’s Britany Wally struck gold at the 24th minute mark followed by Casarino's second goal at the 28th minute mark to give their team a comfortable 4-1 lead.
THFC's momentum continued to burn bright at the start of the second half with Jenny Capayas finding her first goal.
But Shirley’s offense finally came alive with two consecutive goals delivered by Elaine Enriquez and Phan to close the gap 3-5.
Unfortunately, that was the end of Shirley’s comeback as they were nowhere to be seen for the remainder of the game even as THFC continued to deliver with three more goals courtesy of Wally, Casarino and Allyssya Angeles en route to an 8-3 victory.
Kanoa vs Paire
Kanoa Football Club remains in second place in the team standings after defeating Paire Football Club 4-2
Three of Kanoa’s four goals were made in the first half by Irish Pagarao whose dribbling skills, passing ability and speed resulted in three consecutive goals at the 6th, 15th and 26th minute marks.
Toward the end of the second half PFC’s Bernadette Horey found her rhythm to deliver two goals, but Pagarao was simply unstoppable, adding one more goal at the 56th minute mark to secure a 4-2 Kanoa victory.
