Paire, TanHoldings top Dove fall league


Paire Football Club 1 and TanHoldings ruled their respective divisions in the Dove Women’s Fall League 2021.

Paire 1 topped the Intermediate Division after nosing out MP United Football Club, 3-2, in the championship game played last Dec. 12 at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville. In the Premier Division, TanHoldings finished the shortened round-robin competition with an 8-1-0 win-draw-loss record to reign supreme in the group.


Lindsay Davis, Lily Muldoon, and Natalie Hill scored a goal each in Paire 1’s close title victory over MP United, which got its pair of goals from More Sablan and Jove Taman. Joining Davis, Muldoon, and Hill on the fall champion team are Connie Camacho, Ferleen Wollak, Jessica Wilsey, Linda Anastacio, Maria Ornes, Patricia Coleman, and Becky Jordan.

The title win over MP United capped Paire 1’s impressive season, as it also finished on top of the team standings after the regulation. Paire 1 posted a 6-0-1 mark and scored the most goals in the competition with 27.

Meanwhile, three more games were played in the Intermediate Division last Dec. 12 with Southern United Football Club edging Paire 2, 4-3, to take the third place honors. In the two other matches, Shirley’s FC dominated Paire 3, 7-3, in the battle for fifth place, while Kanoa FC took seventh place following a 2-1 triumph over Matansa FC.

In the Premier Division, TanHoldings finished three wins ahead of Kanoa FC, which wrapped up the season with a 5-1-3 mark. Paire was ranked third with its 3-0-6 slate, while Shirley’s had a 1-0-8 mark.

TanHoldings collected 63 goals in nine games for the best record in the division and also allowed the least with 24. Kanoa logged 43 goals and gave up 33, while Paire scored 15 and yielded 37. Shirley’s made 19 and allowed 44.
