Paire outscores TanHoldings for 3rd win in U13 youth soccer
PAIRE Football Club remains at the top of the food chain in the U13 boys division of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League after outscoring TanHoldings Football Club, 6-4, Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center.
Both teams showed their enthusiasm for the game as constant back-and-forth action filled the first half.
After 15 minutes of exchanges, Paire finally built enough momentum to grasp control of the possession. Several attempts later, their persistence paid off as they created an opening at the 22nd minute mark, allowing Jayten Villagomez to find the back of the net to give his team a 1-0 lead.
Two minutes later, it was Jazzroy Villagomez’s turn to score to hand Paire a 2-0 advantage by halftime.
At the start of the second half, TanHoldings’s Emerson Brillo delivered a goal to reduce the deficit, 1-2.
The Villagomez brothers of Paire then unleashed an offensive salvo with Jayten scoring at the 33rd and 36th minute marks followed by Jazzroy sinking a goal at the 41st minute mark to give their team a comfortable 5-1 lead.
TanHoldings tried to catch up with Brillo scoring three more goals for the hat-trick, but Paire’s Jayten Villagomez added icing on the cake with his fourth goal of the day to secure his team’s victory, 6-4.
Joining the winner’s circle was MP United Football Club 2 which defeated MP United Football Club 1, 1-0.
It was MPU 1’s Quido Jambor who scored the game-winning shot at the 49th minute mark.
As for Matansa Football Club, they nearly suffered a loss but was saved by Anton Megino’s goal at the 44th minute mark to force a 1-1 draw against Kanoa Football Club.
Kanoa’s goal came at the 19th minute mark courtesy of Rooney Gil.
