MPU FC Pink and Blue defeat foes in U13 boys

The MPU Football Club Pink defeated Shirley’s, 6-2, while MPU Blue Football Club slipped past Kanoa Football Club, 2-1, in Week 5 of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Fall 2022 last Oct. 22 at the Northern Mariana Islands Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

The Pink team blew Shirley’s FC out of the water as Moshe Sikkel found the net just four minutes into the game. Shirley’s didn’t retaliate until the 22nd minute and remained quiet until they scored their last goal in the second half.

Meanwhile, Leonard Delemarle and teammate Taiga Namai-Scoggins took turns attacking the net for MPU Pink, with Namai-Scoggins completing the hat-trick and scoring the sixth goal in the 47th minute.

The Blue team’s Stephen Yeom and Landon Jordan scored the two goals with Jayson Tagabuel scoring the lone goal for Kanoa.

Matansa FC 3, TanHoldings FC 1

Matansa Football Club defeated TanHoldings Football Club, 3-1, in the first game of the day.

Prince Espiritu from Matansa scored early in the third minute with Benneton Haro claiming the last two goals.

Emerson Brillo scored the lone goal for TanHoldings.

U13 GIRLS DIVISION Paire FC 9, TanHoldings FC-2 1

In the U13 girls division, Paire Football Club triumphed over TanHoldings FC 2, 9-1.

Vanessa Bayog scored the lone goal for TanHoldings in the 22nd minute.

Paire’s Alana Hayes, Caurie Staffler, and Windsor and Phoenix Gross, distributed the nine goals amongst themselves.

Kanoa FC 1 5, MPU FC-1

Kanoa Football Club beat MPU Football Club, 5-1.

Aubrey White, Ye Lynn Ha, Beatrice Gross, and Elikristiana Iglecias scored the five goals for Kanoa and Addalee Taflinger scored the lone goal for MPU.

Southern United FC-3, Kanoa FC-2, 3

Southern United Football Club and Kanoa Football Club ended their match in a 3-3 draw.

Matansa FC 8, TanHoldings FC-1 2

Matansa FC also beat TanHoldings FC 1 black and blue in the U13 age group, 8-2.
